Josh Romo and Mathis Heyer joining the EAO group
Josh Romo holds a M.Sc. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from UC Berkeley and a B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Dayton. His research at Stanford will focus on using multi-scale measurements of methane to create better informed emissions inventories. Before coming to Stanford, he worked at environmental non-profits focused on shareholder advocacy around plastics and petrochemicals production and in the creation of a certified natural gas market.
Mathis Heyer graduated with a M.Sc. in Process Systems Engineering from RWTH Aachen University. His research at Stanford focuses on advancing the understanding of complex energy and process systems through mathematical modeling and optimization. Mathis' work builds on his previous research experiences at the Laboratory for Process Systems Engineering at RWTH Aachen University, the Climate Policy Lab at ETH Zurich, and the Sustainable Reaction Engineering Group at the University of Cambridge.
