Master & Ph.D. Student Opportunities

The group generally admits one to four new graduate students per year, so please feel comfortable to apply to the M.S. or Ph.D. program of the Energy Science & Engineering Department if you are interested in our work. 

Please note that Prof. Brandt does not generally have time to answer queries about applying to Stanford, as he gets many such emails. If you feel like your interests align with the group's work, please feel free to apply! We are always looking for intellectually curious and motivated individuals!

Undergraduate & Visiting Researcher Opportunities

In some cases, there can be opportunities for undergraduate and graduate student researchers to work on environmental impact analysis for energy technologies. If you are an undergraduate or international visitor interested in some of the research areas pursued in the group, feel free to reach out to a graduate student in the group (see our Team page) to see if you can help with their project.
